And again, seems to be in great shape. It's at a dealer in PA, I live in NY so I want to make sure it's worth itbefore I go down there.

That ^ is what I'm worried about. What is that box looking thing in the left foreground? Looks like it could be a subframe connector or something like that, but I don't want to buy the car if it's not sound. If you need a bigger pic look at the Ebay link. Opinions on anything welcome, I'm a noob to these cars and I want to make sure I'm getting something solid that I'll be able to keep for ever.

which one? the one closest is the subframe. its what holds the car together. its the frame of the car pretty much [&:] . every mustang has it.

the one in the back is to prevent wheel hop from hard launches.

I was looking at the one in the foreground. Thanks, I thought it might be something aftermarket to hold the car together, which brought up the question of what caused the car to need it. Now that I know it's stock, I'm happy. Any other comments about the car? Knowledge is power. Especially whenone is negotiating prices on cars.

Edit: Any reason to worry about the two dots on the subframe? A friend's dad said that it didn't look stock. He's a chevy guy though... [8D]

nah theyre just some holes from the factory. nothing to worry about. make sure they didnt just spray a new coat of undercoating to cover up any rust though. and i doubt its 94k original miles. i think its 194k. cause the motor has been rebuild according to the chrome oil pan. which reminds me, chrome oil pans = no no. theyre cheap and they tend to leak.

and the door panels are wrinkled. check for rust on the inside of the door in the front bottom corner. where the round corner is.

and it doesnt say anything about suspension so im assuming it all needs to be rebuilt. or at least all the rubber shoulb be changed. hopefully its as clean as it looks and as they claim. nice find!

oh and in the circled part of this picture, it looks like a bead of weld to me. make sure the shock towere hasnt been replaced. if so, then its been in a wreck. and i also dont see the evidence of the stock export brace ever on that shock tower. but it may just be the picture.

Emailed the guy through ebay, this is what I asked.

Hey, I'm the guy who contacted you by phone on 7/22 about this car. A few more questions.

Has the car ever been wrecked?
What is the actual mileage on the car right now, and do you have documentation of this?
The dooor panels look a bit wrinkled, why is this?
What type of suspension is in the car, and what shape is it in?

I'm looking forward to owning this car. Thanks.
This was the reply.

Hello, The car has never been wrecked and the milage is 92k original. The milage is documented on the title. The door pannels are original and starting to wrinkle due to there age. They sell new replacements if you want to make it perfect. The suspension and steering are stock. We replaced some bushings and other steering parts. The suspension parts that were not replaced looked very good. The car is ready to go. You will need to do nothing but drive it!!!
