I just read all of that, and didn't really like it. It seems like a lot of vague or misinformation. Some of it seems like he is just guessing, and a few things he is just plain wrong about.

I appreciate everyones help so far. I'm not sure what gears are in it, and I'll have to find out. I was working on throwing the engine together tonight and got a good bit of it put together. I won't be able to work on it again till Saturday. As of right now I think I'm going to just try and find a 9 inch, I'm in no hurry so I can wait for one at the right price to come. It just sucks because I'm pretty sure my rear end doesn't have limited slip because it wouldn't get traction at all when the roads were a little slick. I still have some deciding to do, but again I appreciate everyones input. If anyone has any other ideas let me know. Also, anyone know why my dash lights aren't working? I checked the fuses and they are good, the dash lights only come one when I turn on my brights which makes no sense.

i couldn't tell as I don't have much experience on what Ford produced.
But isn't 8" and 9" difference easy to see as the pumpkin is way rounder on the 9" (not as oval shaped)
(no idea about 8.8 though)

first thing to fix is to throw out BF goodrich radial T/A tyres if you have some.
i hate them. friend of mine bumped chevelle into a post because he rested tyhe foot on the accellerator in the rain
