Default I finally got to run it last night!!!!

OK, so I've been trying to run my car at the strip for 2 weeks now. Last week the weather was awesome, but due to the dumbasses at Summit, I didn't have axle shafts and therefore couldn't run my car. The track here also runs on Tuesday nights, so I decided to go then (this pastTuesday). I droave the car to work so that I would be able to go right over there, and it started raining at about 3 PM. The races got cancelled at 5, and I got nothing out of it except a dirty car, a wet floor, and a lot of unessesary work. There was only a 30% chance of rain that day, but it poured like a MOTHER, all over town. So, figured I'd try it again today. There was a 5% chance of rain from 2 of our local news stations, and a 20% chance of rain from the other one. Well, guess what... its raining. Im sitting here at work looking out the window like a kid who can't go outside and play because of the rain. It sucks! However... it isonly 3 PM and the track doesn't even open until 6. I have been watching the radar online, and it looks to me like it may clear up in a couple of hours. There is one cloud that is raining on us, and after that, it looks clear. So basically, I am asking everybody to the Northeast of Chattanooga to get up on their roofs and blow towards the southwest to help this cloud geton out of here... only kidding. However, you all can keep your fingers crossed for me. I am dying to take the car out to the track, and this weather is killing me.

Yeah, maybe. It looks like it is going to be good.... The clouds are moving out fast so if they don't call it off the wether will be perfect. I will ask somebody to bring a video camera and see if they can tape me.

Send some of the rain here for a few days....Last monthwas the 3rd hottest June on record here and this month is on pace to be a top ten as well......I'm sweating my A@@ off in the garage.

And I don't need to getflamed, I know it's a 100 million bazillion degrees somewhere else[sm=badbadbad.gif].

Well... I did get to run, and I was impressed with my car. I ended up running an 8.291 the first two runs in a row, one at 81.40 MPH and the othe at 83.95 MPH. They were both right at a 1.8 60 FT time. Not too shabby. I was hoping to be able to improve on the times some, but the fog started coming in and it got to where the track had a slight moisture layer on it, so nobody was hooking worth a flip once that started happening. Everybodies times just kept getting worse and worse. I was beating anything down there that didn't have nitrous or a blower, and even beat a new supercharged Roush, so I guess I can be proud of myself! The next steps are to get it Dyno tuned, and then if I still dont break the 8.0 mark, I guess I'll have to give it a 100 shot of magic gas to help get it down the track.
