Default RE: did i get ripped off?

I bought a 1965 Coupe last year for $7500, and shortly after had to have the original exhaust put back in, the power steering rebuilt and various leaks handled. $2500 later, I had a car that would only run with constant adjustments to the carb. Another $660 later, I have a car that runs great, but has exhaust leaking into the cab, needs a new paint job, instrument cluster doesn't work...on and on.

But it is the life of a classic. My wife is pissed that is taking so much money, but when the car is done, it will be sweet.

Like it's been said, look forward not back. It can only get better.
