little help finding numbers?

Default little help finding numbers?

my nieghbor has a 65 and he wants to know where the numbers are on a ford block so he can see if its a numbers matching car and also are the trannys numbered with the same number as the car and block?

Unless the car has the High Performance "K" code engine, the VIN number will not be stamped on the block. In '65-66, only K code motors were VIN indentified. That's why there's no such thing as a "numbers matching" '65-66 (unless K code)

The numbers it will have will be date and casting codes, they'll be on the block behind the starter, so you'll have to take that off to see them. His car won't be numbers matching since there wont be numbers to match, just a date code that should correspond within a few weeks of the build date of the car to make it date code correct.
