Installing a New *&%#@ Ignition Switch
The only time the Stang kind of left me stranded was due to the ignition. I had been working on a stereo speaker in the car the night before and had turned the key to the acc position several times.
When I got to Aikido the next day the ignition had come lose a little and there were all sorts of strange things happening like driving down the road with no radio or gauges. Somehow turning it back to the acc position numerous times made something come lose.
Sensei looked at me like I was crazy when I walked in the dojo, told him I had to fix my ignition real fast since I was early for class and asked if he had a paper clip....I took the whole iginition out and put it back in real quick in the parking lot. The joys of owning a classic
Glad you got it put in....I had a heck of a time the first time I tried to figure it out. But after two or three times it has gotten much easier.

You know what was the hardest? Putting the friggin' bezel back on!!
Funny thing now. Started her up. Have to pull slightly on the entire unit to get it to turn over. If I leave the bezel flush to the dash, it won't start. Checked connections. They are cool. Thinking it has something to do with how the lock cylinder is seating in the switch.
At least it starts...
