3 wiring problems to finish

RE: 3 wiring problems to finish
Hi!
Not! The courtesy light and glove box wires are there. If you want it pictured, just let me know! One strange thing is the tag code that I can't find in any book...
And, I will input my other (cont.) post here, I think it's more easy to solve...
(cont.)
Hi, again!
This third picture shows my tilt-away steering wheel wiring. The wirescame out of starter safety switch (on steering column) and... and... ìt has a looooong wire (that passes through two connections) and ends on two plugs, the same from starter safety switch. All the wiring books that shows 67 tilt-away steering wheel do not show where this wire goes.
So, if you need any additional information about what my car have (to help me, please!), I will list its features (from Marti Auto Elite Report):
1967
Built at San Jose
Mustang Hardtop
390-4V
Burnt Amber Paint
Saddle Standard Bucket Seats
Scheduled for Build: October 12, 1966
Seattle Ordering District
3.00 standard axle ratio
C-6 Select Shift Cruise-O-Matic
F70-14 Wide Oval Tires
White Sidewall Nylon Tires
Firestone Brand Name Tires
Rocker Panel Moulding
Power Disc Brakes
Power Steering
Tilt-Away Steering Wheel
AM Radio
Tinted Glass
Deluxe Seat Belts
Wheel Covers
Heavy Duty Suspension
The ONEthat was equipped with this color, engine and tilt-away.
Thanks for your help!

RE: 3 wiring problems to finish
ORIGINAL: 390brasil
Hi, everyone!
I bought a 67 Mustang coupe that has been out of the road about 10 years! After a detailing restoration (by myself and brother), I discovered 3 wires that connects to nothing. I have 57 books about Mustang and, you can trust, they do nothave informations about these wires.
First of all: a wire with tag C7ZB 10C895-A was cut andabandoned in the glove box. It's pictured with his 7,5A fuse. For the Love of God, WHERE THIS WIRE CAME FROM?
Second: a plug disconnected, behind the AM radio location. It has two wires blue/violet connected together behind this plug.
The third wire (and what optionals my coupe have) will feature in the next topic, because the 3 files exceeds 400kb.
Regards,
Marcio Costa

see this diagram... (far right)http://www.hammar.dyndns.org/~djhamm...ng/1968/E7.jpg
blue wire with red stripe looks like it should be ground or terminated to me.

RE: 3 wiring problems to finish
Checkout this diagram it looks like the wire in your photo. It is the ground for the tilting steering column. Checkout the diagram below

RE: 3 wiring problems to finish
Hi everyone again!
I wouldaccept my wire can be a terminal, but it has two wires in this plug, not one, like the diagram! And, for the wire cut, it's not the tilt-away steering ground, 'cause it's perfect and linked to ACC switch.
Well, I guess I have to turn on my car and expect what can happen. I hope my Autolite "Group 27" battery don't suffer with it.
Thanks everybody!

RE: 3 wiring problems to finish
I know that on my 66 all the wires that are red that i hve replaced are associated with interior lighting. that does however look like a ground.
Have you checked it with a meter with battery hooked and the key off,on? how about with different accessories off and on. i would get a meter goig.

wiring idea
You may have already considered this. I would look at the 66 or 68 wiring diagrams due to your car being an early or late production car . I would also consider that your car had some optional part that was removed. I think there was glove box light option or maybe the wires by the radio are for a floor console light lead.

Excelent idea!
My car is an early-67 and it has all the optionals listed on Marti Auto Elite Report. Finally, after 4 years of restoration, I turned my keys on! Everything is working good, except the tilt-away steering wheel and the light on automatic mini-console (Bradford68 was right!). One of these 2 not-connected wires can be related to the tilt steering (as you, guys, suspected). I am glad with everyone that reads and colaborated to this "help message"!
Regards,
Marcio Costa
P.S.: I will not sleep until I find where this last wire will be connected.

C7ZB-10C895-A
390Brazil,
The C7ZB-10C895-A is the Seat Belt Warning Light harness for 67 Mustangs. it has one connection to the threaded post on the ignition via a 7.5 amp fuse and then a two-slot connector to a relay mounted under the dash. Those two wires run to a lamp that mounts under the dash just under the ashtray.
I hope this helps...
