Would you use a deep cycle marine type battery for that?

LOL...I knew I was gonna take a beating on the stereo thing. I'm just glad I got some solid answers to my question. I don't need to worry about A/C, because I don't have it to begin with . I've already got 2 1f power caps to use, so I'm set there, and I found a shop to rebuild my alternator as well. I think I'll start with the alt. rebuild and power caps, and then see if I need a second battery.

And in my own defense, I wouldn't be builiding a sound system like this if I didn't have the HP to match it. Thanks for the help!

You are very welcome, WHen I saw that in the catalog last night I thought of you and your search, So I posted when I got up this morning.

Yea, the "online catalog" is a 39ubermegagigapixel .pdf file that takes an hour to download on broadband. I should have just cut the page out of my paper catalog and scanned. I hope that bezel works. I'll be ordering mine when I start my interior.

Hey 69mach1377, what I lack in brains I have in horse power. LOL , about 470 HP is a pretty good guess. and 1700 amps of good clean music. If I don't scare them with sound of pure hp, I can always make them go deaf . LOL and your right about the nos alternator the engine would almost go dead. They use a heavy duty internal parts that they use in fire engines and emergency equipment to build the them for a 170 amp output.
My comment was a compliment by the way...crank it!
