Default Base/Clear vs. Enamel Paint

Which is easier to paint at home in a garage, base/clear or enamel? I am wanting to paint my car on my own, it will be my first car to paint, so which should I use? Thanks in advance.

BC/CC is easier to spray and last longer.

Not only that but better looking... as long as you do it right. The clear is your protectant and shine, I suggest BCCC. When I was doing body that's all we did, even on the classics. Know a guy that sprayed the enamel and wasn't happy with it so he went and sprayed the BCCC.

ive sprayed both and to me they are about equal. Last i knew they also had an enamel clear.

Really it comes down to how original you want the car on if you go with the original enamel paint or the base clear.

From there they have different clear coats as well. PPG has a DBU & a DBC one you can wet sand and polish out the other, is pretty hard and isnt that forgiving and cant really be wet sanded.

The prep work makes the paint job as wel. if you dont have a smooth surface it shows right through the paint and makes the paint job look crappy.

again neither are that hard IMO ... if i were to do it though id do the B/C but go with a good PPG/Dupont and not the cheap OMNI that PPG has or any single stages.

tri stage paints can look really good but are a PITA if you have to reshoot any
