IMO, by the time those who buy the Prius "get even" financially, it will be time to replace all of those batteries for a couple or few thousand,,, Curses,,, back in the hole!

haha! Yeah but most of those people end up rolling over the difference into a new car and become even more upside down on their car loans :-/

Bleh! If you can't afford a car in 3-5 years woth of payments you can't afford it..period ;-) My parents say if you can't pay for it 3 you're in over their head but then their house is paid for...

Yeah I agree about the black-hole prius. Plus where do all the batteries go when they are dead? More landfill waste and toxic chemicals...

yeah, that would be nice...ive driven it home in pieces before though haha. honestly, i have no worries about it on campus...USD has a very strict drinking policy so most of the parties happen off campus or at the other neighboring schools according to one of my friends who goes there. he said thats one of the only reasons you need a car...to get to parties. personally i only plan on just using it to run errands and get to the beach and back. plus, it was kind of part of the deal with me going to SD instead of pepperdine. SD meant i could bring my car...pepp would have meant no car

we'll see what happens, its not like its super nice or anything anyways

ok, i understand kinda. its just that my mustang is too nice for every day (college) driving. and that i have no shelter for it at college. i am also protective of it too.

you'll have the rest of your life to do things to it and fix it up anyway.
