well i am going to check again as soon as i get a chance to work on it. but last i remember i had the valve covers off one time and i pushed down on the rockers and they didnt move, and my friend told me that means i have solid lifters. he said if they were hydraulic the pushrods would have moved down a bit. and if i have solid lifters then i would have a solid cam. correct?

i don't know if you actually can push them down with your fingers ...
if y6ou couold push it down with a finger it would be useless as if nonexistent. There might be a chance that you can push it down using force but it should be very very vyer slow going down.
i very much assume that you have hydraulic just like everyone here assumes so.
But I don't really know a way of identifying it properly.
Maybe someone with experience knows

you would NOT be able to push down a hydraulic lifter once the lifter has oil in it - the only time you can push them down by hand is when the lifters are brand new and are empty inside.
