well, i ended up getting flowtech afterburners. they are 3 chambered, VS 2 chambered with the super 40's

i can still return them though...im just wondering if i should, or do you think it would be best?

So why exactly did you cut off the first half of that sentence? You know, that part where I said "As far as flow and performance...." I never said they sounded bad, just that they performed badly.

It must have been easier to make a more compelling argument that way.

That's probably pretty close to what they would sound like, not too bad I guess.

That youtube clip is on my car, my clip also by the way.
I think the Afterburner sounds great "loud", a little resonans on low rpm.

YouTube is a great place to shop for mufflers.

Just search for the exhausts you are considering with a similar motor + exhaust setup,
you'll probably find lots of good examples.
( pay close attention to where the recorder is "standing" to get true apples/apples comparisons )

If my wife wasn't going to be driving the car, I was going to go for the Flowmaster 44s.
... But then, in my searches I found Spintech (talk about flow ! )

Spintech's "pro-street" flows WAY more that the Flowmaster 44s, and it is their Quiet Muffler !
(I like the sound & flow .... that's what I'll be putting on my 400 HP Cat)

Default Dynomax vs Flowmaster

I currently have Dynomax and wish I still had my Flowmasters.

i have seen set up where the exhaust was run to a quiet muffler but had a exhaust bypass valve to a glasspack, this was on a truck with lots more room, but i think you could fit a valve and another muffler in the tunnel of a stang, i found the valve online once and cant find it now, found one like it though

there are also cable actuated, i will try to find them and post them on here
