Default tail light problem

i was fixing my horn and when my horn starts working my left tail light fails on me when i brake. both lights light up when i brake only if i press the brake while signaling the left and turning the signal off, after that both will light until i turn on the right signal and after i turn that off the left tail light stops working when i brake. they both signal and shine when the headlights are on but the left one just stops working when i brake after i do those things. i hope i explained this thoroughly, so im just wondering any ideas what might be causing this?

thanks

Sounds like electrical shorts probably in the turn signal assembly. May have to replace the assembly and re-wire. Otherwise, see if the horn contacts are shorting out the system. YOu have original steering wheel or grant? Some folks have probs with the grant and shorts...

I would probably work backwards and undue everything you did and put it back like it was before you got the horn working and see if the taillight problem continues. Maybe something got messed up when trying to fix the horn if the lights worked good before that..

If you have a Grant steering wheel, that's definately the problem. Look for your lawnmower and your iPod to start screwing up also. Yes, Grant horns are that evil.
