I feel that people have been mis interpereted and or mis informed about what motors are what so heres a thread for what's what

The following are small blocks:

Are you addressing Mustangs only or all Ford motors? Are you limiting the time frame between 64 and 73?

just pushrod v8's and inline six's no modular motors, or v-6's.. thered be too many....

within the same years, Ford also built a small block 400 and a big block 360, although these were not mustang choices.

I guess small block for the 351M. Just read that no one really knows what the M stands for so they just consider it a letter not meaning anything.

Yes, it's generally accepted as 'modified,' however some people refer to it as 'midland' for some reason I'm unaware of.
