I'd run a stealth or the PP typhoon is a copy of it for cheap and a 600 VS carb, if you can afford a little more get an annular road demon 525 or 625 carb, the 525 flows around 600 and the 625 about 700 the annular boosters really help low end.

If the 750cfm has a vacuum secondary it probably will be ok.
The vac secondaries only take what what they need.
I put a Edelbrock 750 on my mostly stock 351C 4v and it works fine, plus now it really screems on the top end. Not much tweeking was needed at all.
Admitedly the 351C 4v is a different beast with those big valve ports.
The origional Autolite was 735cfm so it didn't seem like that big a step up.
I went big despite the nay-sayers and it turned out much better than expected!

Also you do have headers, so it should flow better. Now if you want gas milage too, get the small carb.
But if you're going to toss the intake, forget it, $200 is alot for a used carb.

yep, dont even consider the stock intake. boogerschnot, remember the advice way back when we told you the performer cam was not enough for a 351w? and you did it anyways.......listen to us "been there done that guys and maybe gals" we have already done what you want to, yes a 750 VS on an alum intake will work OK, on a stock CI 351w intake will suck. you want a smaller carb on a performer, performer rpm, steath, PP typhoon intake, and it still wont be optimum except the performer and more for a truck than a stang except for tall gears and fuel economy. That cam is more suited in a 302 or a 351w in a heavy vehicle........been there done that.
