Default Cam question

So I got the car started and the cam I installed sounds like stock. I'm wondering what a good cam would be for a 351W with adjustable roller rockers, so I can take some lift. I'm looking for a good powerful cam with a good lope to it. The cam I have in it now has an advanced duration of 262 270 int and exh,
dur @ .050 214 224 int and exh.
Lobe sep 110 and
valve lift of .493 .500 int and exh

Any comments on this cam? It's the XE262H
Any comments about a good cam to go to? Gas is not a problem, still would like to keep some streetability for it, just want some good a$$ behind it.

What have you done to the bottom end? Are your pistons notched for valve clearance? What kind of heads are you running? Valve springs? Do you have power brakes? Manual or automatic trans? What rear gears are you running?

Cams should not be selected for sound. They should be selected for optimal performance, and they must match the rest of your engine/drivetrain.

That XE262H cam is no slouch, but until we know more about the car, it's impossible to recommend a cam that better matches your needs.

i had a 272 duration cam with 524 inch lift on a 357c(.30 over) it seemed pretty mild but it really wasnt a slouch.

I'd have to go back over and double check the info. It's the cast heads with upgraded springs, rods, roller rockers. The pistons aren't notched any more than stock?? No power brakes, 3spd... for now, and my 9inch hasn't made it in yet. Stock bottom end. I'm not looking to get too ridiculous, but something better than what's in it. And Rmodel I have the same engine, 351W bored .30 over. But you had a fairly bigger lift than I got still.
