well cant return the wheels since they are mounted, but even if they werent mounted, i couldnt return em anyways since thats the only size.

but its ok, i might look into the flares. but probably wont happen. ill most likely just leave it the way it is, so when i get the wheels i want, i can get em in custom sizing. TT2's come in any size you want.

KY, if you don't do the rear now, you may never for a long time. You have 2 shops right now at your disposal to make the job easier. Find the dough for those gears and go for it.

JMO. Good luck. Those wheels kill.

thanks carlos.

i need to look into the whole swap a little more.

would it be better to build my 8 inch or find a 8.8?

im thinking i should just build my 8 inch and equip it with some cobra brakes to match my front brakes.

Rebuilding the rear would be cheaper, No? Anyway check out the swap scene. If you can swap straight up, do it. Is your car going to be a weekender or a daily driver? Consider how where and when you're actually going to drive the car. I've only made modest performance upgrades on mine since I drive it everyday.

Whatever you do, hang on to those wheels, dude.

An 8.8" is not a direct swap for an 8". Out of a Mustang, it is set up for a 4-link suspension vs. your current leaf spring set up. Can you change the tires to get more clearance? Tirerack allows you to compare dimensions for any tires they carry and you may be able to find a different brand that fits your rims and wheel wells.

I'm not a 8.8 fan if I'm swapping axles I'm going 9 inch or dana 60 both are the strongest rear ends made.

you could just flip them around and have them stickout past your fenders it'll let you drop it like crazy AND tell others to stay in THEIR lane!
