Looking for a part mentioned on here...
The folks that have them normaly love them me included.
The ones that dont like them have heard stories about old home made kits or they were badly installed. The research I did I had found older kits that the frame rails rusted out and that was the main problem. They didnt prevent rust or installed over bad metal to start with.
Weight on the weak frame rails argument was the only thing that had me on the fence until I saw how the kits were made. Hiedts kit boxes and reinforces that area. My rod and customs kit has a lil different design so I beefed up my rails by putting in a 1/4" bar and boxed in on that. Along with welded in frame connectors Its strong.
Its a time proven good design that has made millions of $ in the after market.
Talk to anyone that has one and then make your decisions based on facts not hearsay or opinions.
I have road in the tcp cars and the global west my m2 does everything they do. All are a major improvement over stock.
I lost shock towers and gained disc brakes with the price of my kit.
Now the other views out there that the shelby drop and boxed stock arms cant be beat with roller perches.
Note if my coupe was a #s car or very close to original I wouldnt do the m2 kit.
Once you do there is now going back!
I have hated fords shock tower design since I was 16 and pulled my 1st car a 67 Falcon out of the hay field and got her running. I was so happy to lose those cursed things.
I appreciate the great info. Now did you do the work yourself or is it something that you had paid to get done? I'd like to eventually do the kit myself... but experience in that area is minimal, and with so much training and stuff, then deploying in March, it would just be easier for me to pay to have it done as long as it's not ridiculous. I'm going to have to call the boys at National Speed and see what they say.
Anyone have any other info on these kits? Good bad indifferent?

I did mine myself. I took a 3lb hammer and scraps of the same gauge steel that the frame and kit was made from and ran some setting test before I did the final welding.
I think Angliagasser has done the m2 kits hit him up.
