So I have money saved up. My car currently has a 302 roller block. ~300hp. Im fixin on ordering a 347 from TandL. My build will have approx. 445hp. I already have the afr heads, air gap intake, comp cam, rockers, brand new in boxes.

Do I order the new motor?

I would paint it.

 

If its in need of a paint job then I'd go with paint first. Does it *need* new fresh paint? What are you doing with the car more.. showing it or driving it?

 

Paint it. This is one improvement that will be visible to EVERYONE that see's it. The Stroker is COOL no doubt. But I think you will get more personal satisfaction and pride of ownership with new paint.

I voted paint because the chicks like a painted car. They don't know the difference between a 302 and 347.

 

really depends on who you're trying to impress. imo HP tends to impress guys and shiny paint tends to impress chicks.

Chicks just like classic mustangs. They like painted ones ever better.

 

go for the power, people wont be able to see the paint when your flying by them.
