Default Curious about my purchase

I bought a 68 coupe this week (after 17 years of waiting) as my wife finally said yes, for 3000. It had been sitting for a while, has a fairly straight body, a 289, c4, but what was unussual was the fog lights, power steering, styled wheels and pop off gas cap. I believe this is a Sprint B. Is there a way to know for sure and if so does this make it a really good deal. I am stoked either way, but since it all looks original should I reconsider the engine modifications, scooped hood etc? The car has some minor rust (rocker panels) firewall etc, but is otherwise a good looking car.

Welcome to the forums!
I think if you get a Marti Report (http://www.martiauto.com/) it will indicate any special packages or options.

Congrats on your purchase, I'm sure it was worth the wait. I do not know a lot about the 68's but you should get some good input here.

Thanks for the advise. I just ordered the Marti Report. Not so easy to find how to get there though, so thanks for the link. Im getting ready to dig in on this project, so I am sure I will need some advice.

If it has a four speed then it should be a "B" sounds like one to me. Good luck with it!

Ya the Marti report will really tell you as decoding the VIN and the body tag wont give that level of detail.

Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the forums.

Well that depends, a Deluxe report will list all the options and packages plus the date of production.
