Default Rear bumper question

I just had my 65 painted and I need to put the bumpers back on. When I took the rear bumper off the bolts and washers were coated with some goop that I assume keeps water out of the trunk. When putting the bumper back on do I need to seal the bolts holes with something? Thanks.

Default Caulk/sealer

When I reinstalled my bumper the hardware kit came with foam doughnuts that went on the bumper bkts. For sure you should use some type of caulk/sealer to keep water out of the trunk. I have used polyurathane type flashing caulk from the local home center for such things. It comes in black and you can paint over it, but I wouldn't use it on "A" surfaces.
