Default Clutch Help ! '87 5.0 in a 66 Fast Back

Hi Everyone,

I am new to this Forum, hopefully someone has a fix for my problem, My son has a 1966 Mustang 2+2 F.B. We had a built 289 with a top loader in it and the engine "fell off the perch" as it were,..... We went to put a 1987 5.0 HO in it's place ( it was also a standard transmission engine) and when we got to the clutch linkage pivot, there was a threaded boss on the original block, but it isn't there on the new engine,....

This is Michigan, our economy is in the dumper, and we need to get this car back together as quickly as possible, so he can put it up for sale,....

So does anybody have a simple solution ?

Thanks in advance for any help in this matter,..... I will be on this forum more often now that I found it, I have a 1968 F.B. and another 1966 2+2 F.B.

Well that's great news !, cause were going to build one ,..... I have been building Hot Rods sence the 60's,.... and we do a LOT of fabrication work, Last night when we were looking at the problem I had suggested (and drawn up) almost the identical piece. If we can remember the camera, we might post a tech article on it, if anyone would be interested.

Here's the 66 Mustang in question, As soon as its back together it will be posted for sale,.... so if you know anybody that wants a cool little Mustang,
even though he really doesn't want to sell it,... thats exactly what he has to do,......
