Default 68 Convertible question

A question.

Did all the 68 Mustang convertibles come standard with a power top or was it an option??

Thanks in advance

Jon

Good question. 67's did not. My car has the manual top.

I bet it wouldn't be hard to add the power top feature. I've seen all the replacement parts at the Mustang dotcoms. It sure was nice to pop the top at a stoplight on my 71 Challenger!

Good question. My 68 is power and its a very basic model. 289 2V, drum brakes and power steering. It does have the console option.

Since I aways use the boot cover, it wouldn't be any faster to drop the top on my car. I've had the car 15 years this way and see no need to add a hydraulic system etc... to it. I think the manual top is somewhat rare anyway. I don't see it very often.
