Default 2 or 4 wheel alignment

Greetings,

I just got done installing my T-5, getting the car to run and replacing some suspension/steering parts.

I was planning on getting an alignment done to the specs Daze has mentioned on a couple other threads but was wondering if I should get a 2 or 4 wheel alignment.

I did drop the entire rear end and replaced the springs and shocks.

Unless part of your suspension upgrades in the rear included adjustable shock mount points or you are dog tracking, two wheel is all you need (only option really) Even when correcting dog tracking it's not considered a 4-wheel alignment because they are simply centering the rear track with the front track, not actually changing the camber/caster of anything.

Get a good 4 wheel alignment from someone familiar with shim alignments . It is considered a 4 wheel alignment because you're aligning the front wheels to the rears. A 2 wheel alignment ignores the rear and won't take into account things like thrust angle.

What you're looking for is actually called a 'Thrust Angle' alignment. The front wheels will be aligned to 'thrust angle' (dog tracking angle) of the rear axle. Like it was said before, unless you've replaced rear end parts with adjustable ones, there is nothing to align in the rear(4 wheel), therefore you'd need a 2 wheel thrust angle alignment. Just $.02 from an alignment tech.
