Default Narrowing 8"???

Alright I currently have an 8" rear end [dont tell me to go 9" this is a brand new 8" auburn ] and i need to make it shorter

right now I have 245 tires and they hit the fenders on big dips and have already cracked them

I was hoping to shorten my 8" so i could fit something like a 275 back there and not have any wheel well rub

is this possible? also how much am i looking at here? (price wise)

Check out the post on narrowing a 9"

Count on $350 for custom forged alloy axles and $110 to shorten up the housing from Moser Engineering.

By the time you toss shipping, gaskets, and bearings into the mix I'd say $600-700 to do a nice job.
