Should I remove my quarter panel reflectors?

Shave them, 99.999% of the inspectors will never know the difference. The only way they will know is if they are into mustangs also, and then they will still let you pass, they will prob just give you some crap about it.

Thanks fakesnakes. I did not have to go through an inspection with my car but if I do I will get some sort of reflector and put a magnet on the back. Take it in for inspection and then remove it once it is over.

Thanks for the responses.
Luckily, I do not have to worry about a car inspection. The state I live in did away with them for older cars. Less government intrusion is better.(It is called liberty) I think I am on my way to a cleaner reflector free look. If it was good enough for the 67, it couldn’t be all bad.

Thought I would jump in with a no vote. The lights are there for a reason.

You won't get caught with missing lights at an inspection where your car is probably as old as the inspector's dad, but it could be an issue if there was an accident, and not having the lights contributed. There is probably more of a chance of getting hit by lightning, but the fact remains, a safety element was removed.

I live at the beach and it's foggy many mornings. If I back out of my driveway in the fog, or for that matter AT NIGHT, oncoming traffic couldn't see me without those lights. Good luck.

I would shave them, if your ever going to do it now is the time when you replace the quarters. Just a cleaner look imho.

Those marker lights are one of the few differences between a 67 and 68, probably one of the most noticeable differences. If you don't want them, get rid of them. I think the less "decorations" (badging, chrome accessories, etc.) the better the car looks.

When the Feds mandated the side lights for '68 "Car People" bitched and moaned that they broke up the lines of the cars and made the sides look busy.
Chrysler's little round lights were the only decent looking ones.
I say lose the lights.

I was like, what side lights are you talking about....I have a 67', I never knew that there were side reflectors on the 68's and not on the 67's. I looked around at some pictures and now notice the difference.

Unless your car is exactly like it was when it was built 40 years ago and only has 2,000 original miles on it I say lose them!
