just a side note, that i doubt teh aerodynamics of a fastback are that great of concern, especially since aerodynamics isnt going to hold back your car untill after 70 MPH

your 69 should never see speeds in the triple range, at least not without serious suspension, brakes and wheel/tire upgrades.

aerodynamics come to play at about 50 mph, but with the torque of a V8 you wont see poor performance until 70 MPH, and in the 1/4 mile your talking about trap speeds near 90-100 MPH with these cars.so your only gaining a "aerodynamic advantage" for the last third of your pull

if an aerodynamic advantag existed. i think the reduction off a 100 LBS is a more potent factor than the difference in aerodynamics.

hail the coupes. the ultimate mustang

I agree with you on the aerodynamics thing, but I do plan on doing serious things with the suspension,wheels/tires, and brakes.

Lol, yeah my stang is stock right now and I have gotten i have gotten it to 110mph. I won't lie, it was scary, loud, and squirrely as hell, especially when deccelerating. But it WAS fun!

Yeah, when I first got the car I was driving back all alone on the interstate so I decided to see how fast I could get going, too bad the speedometer wasn't hooked up! I definately found all the areas where the car wasn't air tight, it was like a wind tunnel in there!

I would imagine on average they are lighter. Again though, it matters alot on the engine/transmission and what options it has.
