There's no mention of a clear title - probably doesn't have one.

That poor fastback. Looks like a '70's version of a "pimp that ride" victim! Can anyone say air-bags/hydros and 20" spinner wheels? Holy Jesus.

On the positive side being that it was obviously a show-car at one time (although a retarded one) it may not have been ran too hard for too long. I mean it obviously wasn't a Dukes of Hazard back-woods jumpin' machine or a race-car by any means. Couldn't have been a track car either with the solid front axle.

I wonder how much hackery was done to incorporate the front leaf-spring mounts.

Man, that car would be a TON of work to ever put back to stock.

it was a drag car because of the solid front axle, or atleast thats what it was built for. that was how they did it back in the day. and it actually looks like they did a good job building it

Yes I knew that actually. Definitely old-school drag style, or in some cases an easy way to install a big-block for show. I also noticed the rear fender-well flaring. I wonder how much metal has been compromised there and if it's going to require both quarter panels to be replaced. It was pretty common for folks to braze and bondo for flaring purposes back in the day and I've seen some pretty shotty braze-work under a ton of bondo that came from that era. Just my experience from the 60-s-70's hack-jobs.

The structural integrity of the car is definitely in question and the pendulum can swing either way. It's questionable how many trips down the strip the car actually has being as pretty as it once was with all the detail, even pin-striping in the fender-wells and painted WHITE of all colors. Not many guys would spend that much time and money on something they intend to thrash. However if it were an actual big-block weekend drag-racer the body could be tweaked pretty bad having ZERO subframe reinforcement.

Big project but if someone is going the custom fabrication route it may be worth getting.

Not so sure I'd pay above 4-grand though. The auction is in the 4's as I write this with 7 bidders.
