I am actually thinking about going the 5.0EFI route. I've got a 91foxbody donor car lined up it's just an automatic. Prob should have stated that in the first place. Ohh thanks for the link 1971mach1. Def plan on going over that a bit little tonight...

You may want to look around and see if you can find a manual fox body Mustang. You could pull the engine and transmission and basically just drop the whole thing in -and kill two birds with one stone.

What a refreshing thread for my manual transmision maniac eyes to see.

I think the T5 would be ideal for what you describe, and yes most any T5 would be up to the task unless you plan a burn out at every corner.
