Unhappy Front Engine Dragster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok so i kinda had this crazy idea while talking to my boss, and we think it would be a good idea for him to build himself a front engine dragster, problem is he doesn't have a mechanical bone in his body, now here's the real proble he thinks he does, yea he can tinker but building a motor, it's "hey ross come here right quick", now heres another problem i'v built one before so i'm coming to my fellow ford fans for help, what i ask is if anyone hass any knowlege to please tell me cause right now we're fliyin' blind........PLEASE!!!!!!

There is a reason that the engines are put in the rear nowadays.....explosions, mostly. You don't want that thing going up in front of you.

Don Garlitz pioneered the rear engine dragster for safety reasons (as mentioned).
What I can't understand is top fuel funny cars, wouldn't they have the same problem?
Or does that plastic body protect them?

Not sure what Boss Dude is asking. Seems like you need some up-front money to get into the pro circuit, if that's the goal. I see dragsters for sale all the time, that seems like the cheepest and easiest way.

well he want to do the whole "vintage" thing, he's going through his like 3rd mid-life crisis and has millions of dollars....so money isn't a problem, he bought two holman-moody can-am motors, jeeese right!! but here "really" wants to build one of these with a boss 429 so any one got an idea about this, he want's to build a short wheelbase car, stupid and even more dangerous!!!!!, like 120-140

Better get the NHRA rules. If it's too stupid or unsafe, they won't let him run.
