Default Guess what i got

Today, i came home to a very nice surprise in my mail box,

Its the original owners manual to my car, mailed from the people they bought the car from in '83.

I thought this was very kind that they tracked someone down in Washington state to get this for me

Great news Joe!

How long ago were the pictures of your car taken? What's your progress in fixing it up?

That was a nice thing to do. My P.O. handed me mine when I bought the car. She was second owner. It's in a ziploc in my filing cabinet.

Wow thats pretty cool they would do that. Most people now wouldn't even think twice and just throw it away since they didn't own the car anymore. I have the original 67 manual for mine in a ziploc bag.

The pics were taken the day i got the car, so far i got new inner rockers, full floor, engine pulled (and just torn down today) and engine bay powerwashed, fenders and quaters will start in a week or so.

AND THE GOOD NEWS DOESNT STOP COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I went to the mall for the football team dinner, and when i got back my dad asked to go out the his truck to get a stack of wood for the fireplace, guess what??? no wood in the truck, instead my FRESHLY REBUILT ORIGINAL C-4 TRANSMISSION!!!!!!

i saw my tranny sunday, sitting under the workbench at work, my dads friend (trans builder) picked it up monday, rebuilt it to the fullest extent, included new seals, replaced all worn parts, polished everything, new brass fittings and plugs, and new pan. al in 3 days time. only charged for the parts at his cost.

my week has been made.... or maye even my month when my new valve covers and engine kit comes!!!

Yeah expect your VCs in a day or so. Sorry they're not AS cleaned as I wanted to. It was like 20 degrees out and snowing and I didn't have the ***** to stand at the car wash waiting for the engine bright to soak for 15 mins, so I used simple green and sprayed it off. Best I could do with the packed week I got. Sorry man. Hope you enjoy them.

Joe67, the good news just keeps comin'! I think it's time you changed your Torque signature to a photo of your car.

Tell us more about your car We know it's a '67 289 Convertible with a C4. Is it a 4v or 2V Carb? What colors / options does it have? Does it have a Buck Tag and Door Data Plate? Post some photos of the car!

I still have the original owners manual from my first car, a '67 Dodge Charger. The car is long gone - sold 21 years ago! I wonder if it still exists or has it been crushed?

My original owners manual was in the glove box when I bought my '66.

Glad you found yours...that was super nice of them to do.
