OK! Paypal is the DEVIL!
So, someone broke into my truck and stole my CD player and subs. AAA being what they are, they REQUIRED me to provide my original receipt if they were to replace it. Otherwise they'd give me the stock radio that my truck came with (WTF, there's a reason I REPLACED it.)
After 2 years, I felt the need to not keep that receipt, so needless to say, I couldn't provide one.
I contacted a guy on ebay that had the unit I wanted. He agreed to provide HIS original receipt for the In Dash DVD, GPS, etc for the unit he was selling, if I bought his.
So I bought it. Sent AAA "my" receipt for the unit, had it installed, then they sent me a brand new unit, the newest model (I bought the Avic-N3, AAA replaced it with an Avic-N4)
So I sold the brand new one on ebay and installed the used one I bought.
The guy claimed to never get the package after 5 weeks. He filed a claim with Paypal. Paypal gave me 4 days to prove I shipped it. I faxed in my original receipt from the post office, which included my credit card number, the size, weight, zip codes to and from, EVERYTHING, but that wasn't good enough for them. They wanted a tracking number, which I didn't pay for since I was eating the shipping costs.
So, paypal took the money from my bank account. Put me almost a grand in the negative. I fought it with my bank, still in process, as that being an unauthorized transaction, so we'll see where that leaves me.
As of now, I am out $850, the unit that I sold and shipped, and $250 that people deposited INTO my paypal for other items I was selling at the time, that paypal used to make me "Less Negative" with them.
All in all, I have spent HOURS on the phone with paypal, post offices, and my bank account. No one can do anything to help me. The guy denies receiving the package and paypal protects him as the buyer. On top of them keeping like $40 of mine from the transaction itself.
Out about $1000 which I don't have, for a product I shipped, and can't prove the guy DID receive.
NOT happy, and will never do business with paypal again.

I know the feeling, I sold a laptop on ebay and got payment through paypal. As soon as the guy got the laptop he changed his shipping address and reported his credit card as stolen. I sent paypal the tracking information, but since the address didn't match the one they had on file after the guy changed it paypal charged my account for the full amount. All while I was in college trying to scrape by.
