Default How did THAT happen

have you ever wondered how exactly some thing REALLY absurd has happened?

me too!

two of my oil gallery plugs broke off a quarter of an inch into the block, wouldn't this be one of the best lubricated places on the block?

Strange thing is i think these were both replacement plugs because all the ones that did not break had square heads and these had hex heads. and i was using a 1/4 drive ratchet w/ an extension, so basically hardly any torque to break them.

how in the world am i to get these out?

Tap and die and a prayer. Or a smaller drill bit than hole, then the tap and die. I think I used the wrong die, but you get the point.

Joe67 drill and use the largest ez-out that you can as not to contact the threads. Heat the plug if you can, some plugs have loctite on them and the heat will release it. good luck
