Chrome Cleaning

Default Chrome Cleaning


What can i do to get these blemishes out?
i got the light pitting of the other side, but this is much worse....
any suggestions?

use chrome cleaner. i believe meguiars has. as for the pitting. that is shot better to replace

+1, that's too pitted to clean up. You can replace it, take it to a chrome shop, or polish what you can and live with it.

Use some steel wool too. I have used it on all my interior handles so far with great results.

that is a good point to remove all chrome and have it rechromed but that is usually pricey also!.. wat part is that?

What about the product that HoneyGold posted a week or so ago...Krud Kutter or something along those lines.....

Nothing will help with the pitting. Krud Kutter, steel wool, etc. will only clean them up and make them shiny.

yup its pitted beyond repair, i got the surrounding chrome clean though! lol
i (look away) got it down with light sand paper
then scotch bright pad
then a mixture i used to clean oxidized copper on the bar down the street from me every week, this is the only time that stuff failed me before
