so, i got my autolite 4100 ready to go, gonna get a nintake soonish. sorta wondering would going from a 2 barrel to a 4, am i going to be needing a larger fuel pump? as far as i can tell then one i have on there is original to engine. (302)

The original one should be fine.

don't think there was ever a difference between 2 and 4 barrell. i'd only swap if the pump is in trouble

havnt noticed anything major (yet) hard to tell though with a clutch going bad too though! hahah. do ford pumps have a pump pushrod? i know in some of the big block chevys if the rod is bad, you can get into trouble

No, Ford has a lever built into the fuel pump that rides on an eccentric bolted to the front of the cam. If the pump is bad, it is a 15 minute job to change it.
