Default Reverse Lights

I was taking my entire rear end apart and got frustrated when i got to my rear valence panel and i can't figure out how to get the reverse lights unhooked, or unplugged. I know theres two bolts on the rear of the lights to release the lights from the panel, but I need to undo the wiring to get it off completly and i don't know how. Any suggestions?

Mine is a 67 and stripped to a bare shell right now. I think the wires from the back-up lamps go through the trunk drop off panels and the connector is in the trunk.

As far as removing the bulb, you push in and twist, left I think. Put a thick rag around the bulb in case it breaks. That thin glass can cut you good. If it does break just stick the biggest screwdriver that will go inside the bulb base in and push and twist at the same time.
