Where to find these parts? (brakes and steering column)
Hey guys, I have a '66 coupe that I am restoring and I have two parts that I can't seem to get my hands on (or even find a dealer that sells them). First off, they are completely different. I am a bit scatter-brained, so don't beat me up for putting these two in the same thought
First thing I need is one of those flat headed bolts that holds the backer plate to the spindle on a I6 drum brake setup. One of the bolts, the long one, is pretty mushroomed up and I have never had any luck retapping one messed up this bad. I have searched a few vendors and can't seem to find them, or I am calling them something wrong.
Second thing I am looking for is a turn signal/steering column connector. The guy who had this Stang before me clipped the wires coming out of the column right at the exit point. I have seen the turn signal replacement cams with the wires, but they don't have the connectors. Any place to get one of those? My other option of course is to just buy a new column or a good used one that has the harness, which I can do. I was just trying to keep this as original as possible.
Thanks in advance, and sorry if these have both been covered before. I did a few searches, but maybe my terminology is off.

This this link...complete setup parts for drums...

as for the turn signal wiring connector...I remember someone talking about that before in here...you can probably find a molex type connector male and female match somewhere online but not the exact type..

Cogtx, thanks for the reply. I kinda figured that part about the column connector and I am ok with just buying a replacement column. I was just hoping some aftermarket vendor had one and I just searched the wrong words.
As for the brakes, I actually ordered pretty much that kit from another vendor. It has all the usual brake rebuild parts, but nothing for that backing plate. The bolt I am looking for holds the backing plate to the spindle, is kind of T shaped, and there are 4 of them. One is longer than the rest, and that is the one I have boogered up. I found this kit
http://mustangsunlimited.com/itemdy00.asp?T1=M4002B+01
but that says for a 9" rear axle. I need one for the front brakes. Anyone heard of such a thing, or is this just a case of get to the junk yards?

I just found a photo of the bolts I need, now if I could just find the bolts
I have contacted a few classic mustang salvage yards about them.

The gray painted bolts are them.
