Exclamation Mustang Bellhousing Dilemma

I am confused and need HELP
I have a 1968 302CI Motor which came from a 69/70 mustang. As we speak a bellhousing part#C5AZ-6392-B IS is in the mail. My Hollander exchange book says i need a C5AZ-6392-D Could someone with a better search knowledge tell me what the difference is between the B and D?

I don't know, but I would make sure that the difference is not in 5 bolt holes for the "B" and 6 bolt holes for the "D". That is about the time the switch took place and you need 6 mounting holes for your engine.

thanx norm for the info,
i called the Ford house (old term) and the guy couldn't tell me for sure but he did say he 'thinks" the diff between the "B" & "D" is 157 teeth vs 164 teeth which after hr's of reading threads from this forum and other forums the size & teeth leads to another prob!! anyway i have bought a C5AA-6384-B CASTING# or part# C5AZ-6392-"B". (in the mail) I'm guessing but i thing the 11 after the description in your thread means 11" flywheel!!
