Look on the drivers side fender. Its also on the passanger side but is often blocked by the fender or only part will show. The door is not the best place to check as often they were swapped when damaged. The numbers on the door plate should match the fenders. Remember that doors are easy to change, so I would not rely on that being the correct number.

why do these posts always end when someone has to check a vin. or so it seems. I always want to know if someone really does have that long lost or rare whatever. come on guys stop keeping all of us waiting. may I suggest that everyone has thier vin ready an decoded when making these posts. its just better for entertainment value.

I have heard that "I have a 9 inch" thing more times than I can count and they always end up having an 8 inch.
