Best way to repair cut radio hole?
I know they make replacement radio panels that can be welded in but is there any other way to repair it? How much do you think it will cost to have it welded in? Anyone have any experience with that?
i welded mine in.
just took the replacement piece, held it up to the dash, and marked and cut small. then kept trimming with a dremmel till it fit. then tacked around the whole thing, ground the welds down smooth, and put a coat of bondo to get rid of the wavyness. no need to worry about how ugly the top weld is, cause it gets covered up by the dash pad.

Not as nice as a weld in piece but I bought a plastic cover made for this. Rattle canned it and glued it in place. From outside the car you can't tell it a cover. I know it's there but most people don't. I got it from a Mustang Parts dealer for about $12.00.
