5.0 motor build
A better question is, how are you going to get 450hp out of it? Supercharger? That's a tall order on a non-race naturally aspirated 5.0, especially if you want to keep the rpm's under 7k.
450hp can be had with a fairly conservative package, 450 to the wheels is a different story. I played around on dynomation for a minute, with our AFR 185 flow numbers, a .550/254I266E hyd. roller cam, 331 stroker config., and our flow numbers from a ported Air-Gap intake it came out to 442hp at 6k and 451ft. lbs at 4k with 297ft. lbs at 800-1k rpm idle. On street motors the margin of error is around 3-5% +/-.
Anything is possible, you could do anything from stock, the build I layed out, or a D3 headed 305 race engine thats putting out 725 at the crank. In all honesty though if your looking for a cruiser 450 at the crank will give you all the power you need for the street and some you probably won't even use.

Strokers are a different story (and why I have one, hehe).
