What does each lever do on the temp/vent control? I have no clue what the levers on mine do, so I just leave them all up, and the center in the middle. I havent had time to monkey with it.

Man I wish I had the $$$ for an AC kit... 95 here today with a heat index of 111-115 needless to say the stang stays in the garage till the sun goes down and it cools off.

Thanks Glen,

It will all come together real nice when I get the body work done, before the V8 goes in. I plan to smooth the firewall.
I've got to tell you, I'd forgotten what it's like to work upside down under the dash. I'm getting too old for this... stuff

I also realized that this kit was not designed with a convertible in mind. I had to work like a big dog to get the cross tube back in under the dash. It's going to have to do for now, but I'll probably fab up a new bar later. And with a standard transmission there isn't as much room between the steer column and the pedal support bracket. Takes a little patience, and some foul language to get everthing in just right.

Other than 1 more bracket and wiring everything else will go per the instructions, so if I can get some time away from other projects I just might have it done this week.

Wish me luck,

Scott

Default Stupid cross brace!!!

Well, I ended up taking the stupid cross brace back out. Just wasn't right. Let me tell you that is one huge PITA to get in and out. Tomorrow I'm going to a welding shop to have it modified. It was putting too much pressue on the vent plenum. For anyone with a convertible thinking of just leaving this brace out... I'd highly recommend you reconsider. That brace really limits the cowl shake that convertibles are known for.

As a side note, I used to be a pretty good welder. Tried my hand at it tonight after about 6 years of not touching one. Boy do I suck now!!! [:'(]

Oh well, that's what professionals are for. [8D]
