Default Got a price for a new 9"

So there is a guy here that is pretty well known for rear ends. He wrote me up a price for a 9" with HD gears and housing with a posi diff and 3.70 gears. He came back with a price of $1200. it is also complete with a new rear drum set up.

Is this a good price? Or should i keep looking? Im a little tight on cash so if i can do it cheaper i will

Sounds like a good price, what kind of "posi" diff is it? (auburn, detroit, tru-trac, etc) My setup was over 3K.

That is an excellent, almost unheard of price, if everything is new and it is a limited slip differential.

Killer price, I agree.
The only way to be cheaper is to build one yourself, providing you already have a housing, axles and brake components...

To give you an idea... Currie enterprises specialized in 9" rear and a complete assembly from them is well above $2000.

If you can shell the dough, jump on that.

I would say that is a very good price. I had a versi rear end narrowed to the same size a stock 66 Mustang, new billet ends, axles cut down, brackets welded on it for the Heidt's four link suspension and ford motorsport disc brake kit, and it cost me a little over $1200.00. I already had the nodular case, gears and posi.

Depends what it is. Make sure the stuff is new. 1200 for a housing, weld on new perches on, used gears and axles with rebuilt t-lock is a bout right for that price.
