Default Best headlight kits

Ok..I guess the candle light effect is getting old when driving at night. Any suggestions for a good upgrade. The tribars seem nice, but a bit too restromod for me.

Thanks

Are you just looking for brighter, with the stock appearance?

You can install relays to get full voltage back to your headlights to improve the lights.
The wiring gets old and starts providing too much resistance and the voltage drops causing the lights to get dim. Relays will get full voltage back to them.

Just about anybody's H4 quartz-halogen conversion headlights will give you much more light. They are replaceable-bulb just like the new cars, but fit the old sealed bulb sockets. 60/55 watt bulbs are enough for most driving and last the longest anyway, though you can get even more powerful bulbs. They may not be 100% street legal, but I've never had any issues in 30+ years of running them. Just keep them properly aimed and do whatever you must come state inspection time. Replacement bulbs are readily available at motorcycle shops, as they are legal for bikes (go figure).

I dropped Wagner's "Brite Light" Halogens in mine, made a noticable difference. I'll probably get around to the relay setup at some point here too.

Norm's idea is another option. Truck-Lite sells conversion reflector housings to replace your headlights with 9006 replaceable bulbs.

I may get a set of these. HID reflector type headlights with hi/lo function.

I talked to my friend this past weekend and he said the headlights out of the new Jeep Wranglers will work perfectly in Mustangs and are really bright. Sounds like a good idea and the lights are already 7".

Yeah try the relay set up or http://www.reenmachine.com/shop/home.php?cat=259 don't use the apc brand ones most auto parts store sell they suck even with the relays and get water in them easy.
