Default Sway Bar and End Link Question (pic)

Hey guys - see the attached photo. Any ideas why the sway bar and end link aren't lining up? I don't want to torque it down at that angle....unless that is normal???

turn it around. Looks like you've got the left side on the right and the right side on the left.

Usually takes a little finaggling. Hard to tell from the pic, but try what groho suggested. If not, set the car down on the ground, loosen up the frame mounts, then try again.

If the car is up on jack stands and the lower control arms are not supporting any weight there will be a mismatch like what is shown. When you put the car on the ground the mating surfaces between the sway bar and the link should line up better. It does look quite a ways off from this picture.

I would turn the bar around. Also, I would put the bolt in, in the other direction. Put the head on the bottom and the threads up. Otherwise, the first time you jack it under the control arm, it will bend it.

That makes sense now. Yes, the whole car is on jack stands. That would explain it huh?

Yep, put the weight on the wheels and it should line up better. Just did that last weekend and thought the same thing, until I gave up and put it on the ground, then I saw that it would line up properly.
