I just had mine coated, have to pick them up in a couple of days.cost me $150 for the headers and $80 for the downpipe

Correction, got a call this morning, cost me $185 for everything,picking up tomorrow

i got my headers done and now almost 2 years later there starting to get like white stuff on them not really sure if it will wipe off


is this from the heat or anyone knoW?

They told me to polish them periodically to keep the appearance

When you break in a flat tappet cam, you have to run the engine at 1500 to2000 rpm for 20 to 30 minutes. This sets the lifter to lobe pattern and ensures everything matches up and oil flow is good. It also runs the engine at a high rpm with no air flow and burns off assembly lube. This makes the enhaust manifold very hot. I've seen them glow cherry red during break in.
