How in the world does the dashboard ash tray come out on the '66? I have looked and read everywhere. Darn thing.

I seem to remember mine just sliding out. Maybe tabs on each side to push in?

yea u just pull it out and if you want to remove the brackets which hold it just get under there and they screw out

Either that or you push down on the ash estinguisher and pull by rotating it out.

push it forward, hold for three seconds. then push all 4 ***** on the side in. rotate it anticlockwise and the spring should push it out then

Start by using a 9/16" socket on the bumper brackets. Work backward.
