Default Wheel Swap Question

I made a swap for a wheel and tire package and would like to put them on. Need some tech advice from someone who hgas done it before!

I have a 1968 Coupe (289). Currently have the standard 14 gt style wheels.

Want to install 2006 Bullitt Take Offs with Pirelli 235/55 ZR17'S
Backspace is 6.295 on these wheels.
What size adapter will I need. I have been told everything from 1 inch to 1 1/4.

If you have done this swap already please chime in as I dont want to make silly or costly mistakes.

If you already have them mount them up and see exactly what you need. There is another thread on the same subject and most are running a 1 1/4 spacer.
