Default Power Steering Question

Looking to purchase a new PS Control Valve, Cylinder, and Pump...

I have a '69 with a 351c, am I looking for a 351c PS Pump and '69 control valve/cylinder, or is the control valve/cylinder going to be a post-1969 part also?

Sometime my car is a P.I.T.A. having to purchase 1969 parts and also post-1969 parts for the motor, it gets confusing.

The PS stuff will work with a Cleveland or Windsor (which is the original 351 in 69). The PS pump bracket may be different, but the other stuff is not.

OK great that's what I had hoped. I was just on kragen's website and it listed the PS cylinder for a 1969 but nothing for a 1970, so I thought this project was going to be another headache.

Another question: how many hoses are there total for the PS system? Four?

There is a:
Pressure line from the pump to the PS valve (upper and lower pieces)
Return line from the PS valve to the pump
Left feed line from PS valve to PS cylinder
Right feed line from PS valve to PS cylinder

So, the answer your question, there are actually 5 since the pressure line is two parts.

Great information - thanks a million guys.

Here's my pulley setup, am I going to be running the PS belt on both the water pump pulley and crank pulley, or just one of them?

Hi Dan - no long distance on my phone plan, otherwise I would in a heartbeat.
