My paint shop would charge 6k for a standard paint job and 1200-1500 more for candy. Thats with zero body work. I would think twice about the red, especially CANDY red. Since your budget is so low for paint, wait to do it right or at least semi nice when you have the extra money.

Remember its all about the prep. if your on a budget. I have seen great "one day" paint jobs when people do their own prep and it saves a ton of money with a good result.

Since you said your self its going to be your "show car" spend the money on fixing all the little engine problems your running into.

Thumbs up

I like that new 2010 Red. I'll have to see it in person to really get a good look at it.

Waffles, always liked your car.

What about Lizstick? Just remembered about that color while in the Saleen section. If I could get that color cheap enough I would definitely buy it.

That is an awesome color!!!!.. Lizstick red is a saleen color and when they do the repaint it costs 11,000 bucks!!! I almost bought a 2001 Saleen mustang in that color....there are times where I regret not buying it but the stang I have now is more then enough for me! That would be a sweet color choice BA!

Is there a "Murder Red"?

I wish there was. I'd repaint my car just to describe the color to people.
